I have continued working every day and have dutifully recorded every postcard purchased, every piano session practiced, and the other numerous achievements that are a daily part of my life. If I have learned nothing else from this experiment of mine, it is the obvious. When goals are set, recorded, and advertised (I have told everyone about my list) the motivation is there to continue the course.
Whenever I am feeling frustrated, I simply think about # 51--a 60 minute massage and quietly praise my foresight for adding a reward to counteract some of the other less desirable goals--such as the push ups and sit ups( 27 and counting thus far). Complaining also was not on the list so disregard the previous whining sentence. The push ups and sit ups will become my friends and I will hammer them out until December when I get to that magical number sixty.
